Battle Creek, Michigan-based multinational food company Kellogg Co. issued a recall on 10,000 cases of their Eggo Nutri-Grain Whole Wheat Waffles on Monday, September 19. The recall expresses concerns that the food products may contain listeria bacteria.
Kellogg’s tells consumers to check their Eggo Waffle box; if its expiration date says Nov. 21, 2017, or Nov. 22, 2017, the product may be included among those recalled. Calling 1-800-962-1413 can get you a refund on the product. Unfortunately, Kellogg’s has already encountered problems with its Eggo Waffles products. Specifically, the United States Food and Drug Administration has previously cited Kellogg’s for its unsafe practices regarding the production of Eggo Waffles.
