A man was hospitalized and a woman was jailed after an accident at Park and Washington Streets in Inwood, Iowa. The Lyon County accident occurred around 2:00 a.m. last Sunday, November 6.
According to preliminary investigations, a 25-year-old Kerkhoven, Minnesota woman was trying to exit a place of residence in Inwood when her boyfriend tried to get inside her vehicle as the vehicle was moving. He was allegedly dragged for half a block without the woman knowing about it before he was finally dislodged from the vehicle. The Lyons County Sheriff’s Office reported the woman did not stop when she discovered the incident, and she left the scene of the accident. The man was taken to Canton Inwood Hospital to receive medical treatment for his serious injuries. Meanwhile, the woman was charged with reckless driving, a simple misdemeanor, and failure to stop at a personal injury accident, an aggravated misdemeanor.
