Des Moines Motorcycle-Car Collision Hurts One

motorcycle-car collision that happened just before 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 16 at the intersection of East 9th Street and Garfield Avenue in Des Moines, Iowa resulted in one person getting hurt.

According to preliminary investigations, a car pulled out in front of the path of a motorcycle that was traveling through an intersection. In a bid to avoid crashing into the vehicle, the driver of the motorcycle, veered a little off the roadway, causing him to lose control of his bike.

Emergency medical responders found a motorcycle rider sprawled out onto the road. He sustained injuries, but was conscious and is expected to recover from the accident.

Police authorities are conducting further investigations into the incident to get a clear picture of the events that took place that led to the accident.
