A two-vehicular collision that occurred Saturday evening, August 20 at the intersection of Highway 169 and 300th Street in Webster County, Iowa resulted in the death of an individual.
According to an Iowa State Patrol crash report, the victim was identified as a 25-year-old West Des Moines man. He succumbed to his mortal injuries at the scene of the accident.
Police investigators said that a 24-year-old Gowrie resident was headed west on 300th Street when he failed to make a stop at the intersection, thus causing a collision with the vehicle of the victim, which was traveling south on Highway 169.
The 24-year-old man and his three passengers, all of whom were children, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to an area hospital to receive medical treatment. They were eventually released following the stabilization of their conditions.
