An Iowa Department of Public Safety spokesman said on May 9 that charges will be soon meted out to those responsible for a five-vehicle crash that occurred on May 8, the Des Moines Register reported.
The accident, which occurred along Interstate 80, resulted in the injuries of 32 people, two of whom were critically wounded. According to a crash report issued by the Iowa State Patrol on Saturday, the accident had involved a minimum of at least five vehicles.
According to preliminary investigations, the crash started when a semi-truck crashed into the rear of another car in the westbound lane near Williamsburg at around 4:15 p.m.
