How Long Have You Been Practicing Law And How Did You Get Started?

I’ve done personal injury law, literally since before I was out of law school. I was lucky enough to be involved with a lawyer who became one of the top personal injury lawyers in the state. He was my mentor while I was in law school, and he eventually became chief justice in the Iowa Supreme Court. So, I started out trying personal injury cases. It’s very rewarding helping people because, if you’ve been the victim of a serious personal injury or a wrongful death in your family, you have so many needs, not just legal needs. We bring those to bear and a number of resources in helping these people. This is always something I’ve always done, it’s just in me. This is what’s rewarding about the practice of law, being there for people and helping them. So, that’s been my practice, all of my practice.
