There are no direct benefits other than death benefits. If a worker is killed, the widow or children receive weekly workers’ compensation benefits for that death. Often times families are greatly impacted by work injuries when someone’s off work or they have a very significant work injury that alters their life. Direct benefits other than death, no, but there are things we can do to provide support – just by making it easier dealing with insurance companies so the families don’t have to. That’s a benefit in of itself I think.
