One individual died in a three-vehicle crash near Colfax, Iowa on Thursday, December 12. The accident involved a Colfax-Mingo school bus.
Jasper County dispatch started receiving calls regarding the wreck on County Highway F48 at around 4:05 p.m. that day, prompting emergency medical responders to visit the area. They found a vehicle crashed into a school bus and another car crashed into these two vehicles. The collision caused a fire, which officials from the Jasper County sheriff’s office, Iowa State Patrol, and Iowa Department of Transportation tried to put out.
Police authorities have yet to release the deceased’s name and other personal information regarding the victim. They also have yet to determine the cause of the accident.
