A man was injured after a bicycle accident occurred Friday morning in Des Moines.
According to Des Moines police officials, the accident occurred just before 7 a.m. when the man was in the middle lane of Hubbell Avenue while waiting to turn into a parking lot.
The 22-year-old biker did not have lights on his bicycle at the time of the collision and the driver was coming up a hill at the time. The driver of the car stated that he could not see the bicyclist and he hit the back of the bike as a result. The bicyclist was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries including a broken leg. No citations were issued as a result of the crash.
