Parents Sue Bar for Dram Shop Liability

Two parents are suing an Iowa City bar for dram shop liability after their 26-year-old son was killed in a car accident two summers ago. They say the bar sold their son too much alcohol and continued to allow him to drink after he was already intoxicated.

The 26-year-old man, 27-year-old fiance, and their two friends were all killed when the driver lost control on Herbert Hoover Highway and rolled off of the road.

According to KCRG, the parents claim the bar staff knew or should have known the amount of alcohol they were serving their son would make him intoxicated. They are also suing for wrongful death.
