IKEA announced last week that it will be recalling nearly 169,000 “Antilop” high chairs the company sold throughout North America.
The Swedish furniture company received eight complaints worldwide about children falling out of the chair after the belt restraint failed to remain clasped, three children sustained minor injuries.
The “Antilop” high chairs came in red, blue, and white with silver removable legs. Only IKEA sold the “Antilop” chair and was available for purchase from August 2006 to January 2010.
If you have purchased the recalled product, stop using it immediately and contact IKEA about receiving a free belt restraint replacement.
