Rescue workers continue to search for the 24 passengers and crew members still missing after a luxury cruise liner crashed into rocks near the Tuscan coast last Friday.
Search efforts were postponed on Wednesday due to rough seas and poor weather conditions. Crews are under added pressure as worse weather is expected to come in as the weekend nears and the threat of the vessel shifting deeper into the sea increases.
So far 11 people have been confirmed dead due to the shipwreck. The captain has come under intense scrutiny for leaving the ship as passengers and crew members tried to escape. He is under house arrest and is facing charges of manslaughter, causing a shipwreck, and leaving before all passengers were evacuated.
