A Wellman couple died last week in a car accident near Tiffin.
According to Iowa State Patrol, the husband, 47, and his wife, 46, were traveling to their son’s wrestling match when the man lost control on the ice, drove into a ditch, and rolled the car. Their 18-year-old daughter was also in the car but sustained only minor injuries.
The father died at the scene, and the mother died later at the hospital. The couple is survived by their four children, ranging in age from 14 to 20 years-old. The mother’s sister and brother-in-law will take in the children.
