Teenager Loses Legs in Train Accident

A 17-year-old girl from Colorado has lost both of her legs after she was run over by a train earlier this week. She is a student at Colorado State University and witnesses say she and three other friends were attempting to jump onto a moving train when she fell under it. The girl planned on pursuing a career in music, theater, and dance.

Investigators say that the girl’s friend jumped first and made it on the train that was moving 7 to 10 mph. Another friend tried to jump on but fell, suffering only minor cuts and bruises. The teen was last to jump when the tragic accident occurred.
