Man Sues Rental Company after Accident Left Him Quadriplegic

|

A man from South Carolina recently filed a lawsuit against Sunbelt Rentals, Inc., after he suffered a spinal cord injury in an accident involving the rental company’s equipment.

The man was working as a concrete installer in April and had rented a power buggy from the company to move concrete. According to the lawsuit, the power buggy malfunctioned and caused the man to be thrown off of it. The man landed on his head and suffered a serious spinal cord injury that resulted in him becoming a quadriplegic.

The lawsuit is citing the company for negligently providing defective equipment to the man, and the man is seeking $17.5 million in damages.
