Four teenagers were injured in an Iowa car accident in Mills County Monday evening.
According to officials with the Mills County Sheriff’s Office, 14-year-old Thomas Winter, 16-year-old Amanda Scott, and 14-year-old Sara Kisicki were injured in a single-vehicle accident on Noyes Avenue about 21/2 miles southwest of Malvern. Deputies say Scott was traveling eastbound on Noyes when the vehicle went airborne and rolled several times.
Chief Deputy Bruce Paulson said the road is a local hot-spot for young drivers. “It’s actually called ‘roller coaster road’ because it’s really hilly,” Paulson said. “If you get going really fast you can actually go airborne.”
The four teens were transported by ambulance to Creighton Medical Center for treatment. The nature and extent of their injuries are not known.
The accident remains under investigation by the Mills County Sheriff’s Office.
