A 22-year-old woman was recently arrested and charged with hitting a baby in a stroller when she drove her vehicle over a curb in Waterloo on Tuesday night.
The accident occurred at 8:15 p.m. on Baltimore Street after the woman had been in a fight with several people who stood on the street’s sidewalk. The woman got into her vehicle and repeatedly tried to drive over the curb in order to hit the people that she had been fighting with. One of the people had a baby in a stroller on the sidewalk, and the woman hit the baby’s stroller when she drove onto the curb.
The woman fled the scene of the accident, only to later turn herself into police officers. The baby was not injured during the incident, and the woman was charged with reckless driving and driving with the intent to cause personal injury.
