A 23-year-old Shell Rock man has pleaded guilty to causing a fatal motorcycle accident this summer.
The man admitted that he was driving recklessly, going about 70 mph in a 35 mph zone, on a foggy night. He attempted to pass other drivers on an S curve when he struck a 19-year-old Waverly woman. She was pronounced dead at Allen Hospital. The man was also injured.
He faces up to five years in jail on charges of involuntary manslaughter. His sentencing trial will be announced at a later date.
Reports say he was very remorseful and privately apologized to the young woman’s mother before the man entered his guilty plea.
