Build-A-Bear Workshop has announced a recall of 300,000 “Colorful Hearts Teddy Bears” that were sold within the United States and Canada from April to December of this year. The bear was available online and in stores.
The company is recalling the bear for a possible choking hazard with the beaded eyes. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the eyes could come loose and fall out, potentially becoming dangerous for young children. So far no injuries have been reported.
The “Colorful Hearts Teddy Bear” is white with colorful hearts on the body. Customers who have purchased the bear can return it to any Build-A-Bear store in exchange for a coupon for any stuffed animal.
