A Secret Service agent was arrested in Decorah over the weekend for drunk driving. The 40-year old man was pulled over for allegedly running a red light around 1:30 Saturday morning when the officer smelled alcohol on him. After administering a field sobriety test, the officer decided the man was unfit to stay behind the wheel and took him to jail.
The driver was charged for driving while intoxicated and was released on Monday. The spokesman for the Secret Service confirmed the man was an undercover agent and that his case has been given to the Office of Professional Responsibility for an internal investigation
