A woman in Arizona was recently awarded $1.5 million after she won a lawsuit filed against BCI Coca-Cola for an injury she sustained when she slipped near the company’s refrigerator.
The company-owned and operated a beverage refrigerator in a Fry’s Food grocery store. The refrigerator was leaking, and, as the woman shopped at the store, she slipped and fell in the water. She suffered permanent pain in her spine which left her unable to live her life as she had before the accident.
A lawsuit was originally filed against Fry’s Food but, it was thrown out when investigations found that the refrigerator constantly leaked but was not replaced by BCI Coca-Cola.
