Seatbelts Now Required for Minors in Iowa

|

KTVO reports that a new Iowa law will require everyone under 18 to wear a seat belt while traveling in a vehicle. If all seat belts are in use, then the minor is off the hook.

State Representative Mary Gaskill says this will help alleviate some of the concerns for young drivers and their passengers. According to Gaskill, there have been several Iowa accidents involving young children. She hopes that, by requiring them to be restrained, lives will be saved.
