The dangers of defective roads and highways

|

When roads or highways are under construction, the jurisdiction in charge of the road is responsible for posting the proper signage. These signs serve the purpose of giving drivers warning that they should either slow down or merge lanes.

When these warnings are not present, drivers could be exposed to unnecessary risk. These risks could include obstruction by heavy machinery or disguised ruts in the road.

If a driver is injured in an accident because of a dangerous or defective road, that driver may be able to file a personal injury lawsuit against the jurisdiction in charge of the road.
