Four motorcyclists killed in collision with truck

|

Four motorcyclists were killed in a tragic motorcycle accident in western Iowa this past Monday.  Three of the motorcyclists were from Iowa and one was from Nebraska.

Iowa State Patrol officials say that the four motorcyclists were driving on Interstate 29 when a pick-up truck driven by a 21-year old Nebraska man crossed over the center line and hit them head-on near Little Sioux.  Authorities have not released the victim’s identities but they have been described as being in their 50s and 60s.  Only one of the motorcyclists was wearing a helmet.

Three of the motorcyclists were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.  The other motorcyclist was flown to a hospital in Omaha where he later passed away.

The pick-up driver was treated for minor injuries.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the motorcyclists’ family and friends during this difficult time.
