Will leaving a job cost an employee workers' compensation benefits?

|

Employees sometimes leave their job while still receiving employers' compensation benefits. When this occurs, these employees could lose a portion or all of their workers' compensation benefits.

Employees usually face this circumstance when they have sustained an injury, but their doctor has given them permission to return to work. In many cases, the employee will only be able to perform limited duties.

Because of the injury, the employee may choose to leave the job. In this case, the insurance provider may stop making lost wage payments.

If you believe you have stopped receiving workers' compensation payments unfairly, contact Your Iowa workers' compensation lawyers of LaMarca Law Group, P.C., at (515) 705-0233.
