Ventura mayor injured in car accident

The recently elected mayor of Ventura was involved in an accident Tuesday. According to police reports, the mayor's vehicle hit a farm tractor. 

When medical officials arrived at the scene, he was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for minor injuries. While in the hospital, he learned that he had won the mayoral election.
