A 44-year-old man from Muscatine was seriously injured when his motorcycle was struck by a car at the 4700 block of Grandview Avenue in Muscatine Thursday.
Jerry Weikert was riding southbound on Grandview Avenue when the car driven by Nicole Wheeler struck his motorcycle. When medical officials arrived at the scene, Weikert was taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Weikert's wife said her husband's femur was shattered, his arm broken, and his ankle fractured.
